General Information

Context

The international O-event "Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona" (TICBCN) was born as a team competition in which two top-level European national teams, along with Valencia national team, were invited to take part in as a way of sharing a training and technical improvement experience with both the senior and junior Catalan national teams.

The 2006 edition saw how the TICBCN was included as the last event in the "Copa Catalana" (Catalan orienteering league), while in 2008, without losing the spirit of enjoying the best national teams (this time the UK junior team), the event was also opened to other Catalan club teams.

This year we are planning to commemorate the TICBCN VI edition with a two-day event consisting in a sprint along the city seafront, and a classic race around Montjuïc Castle and the Olympic Ring. The final standings -calculated by adding up the points acquired in both races- will allow the winners to have a share of the total 3800€ in prizes.
